During hot weather, the inside of a vehicle can become deadly very quickly, even with the windows cracked.
If you see a child or pet locked inside a hot vehicle and in distress:
📞 Call 911 immediately
🚒 Get help on the way
⚠️ Do not wait if life is in danger
Castlewood Fire & Rescue wants the public to understand this clearly:
If a child or pet is in danger from the heat, we will force entry — including breaking a window — to make the rescue.
A window can be replaced.
A life cannot.
Please check your vehicle before walking away.
